About Colorado Corn Growers Association

Our Mission

We are volunteer corn producers with a deep passion for farm policy who work tirelessly to ensure that the voice of Colorado's corn producers is heard loud and clear, both in our state capitol and in Washington, D.C.

We are a grassroots advocacy organization that fights for policies that benefit our corn growers. We collect NO automatic funding streams and depend entirely on voluntary memberships and sponsorships from those who believe in effective advocacy.

Affiliated with the Southwest Council of Agribusiness and working alongside experienced lobbyists like Tom Sell, we bring real advocacy power to agricultural issues that matter most to Colorado farmers.

Latest Achievement: CLIP Insurance Program

The Colorado Corn Growers Association, alongside the Texas Corn Producers and AgriLogic Consulting, helped conceive and develop the Crop & Livestock Income Protection (CLIP) program - a groundbreaking new insurance option for America's farmers.

CLIP is a federally subsidized umbrella revenue protection program that works alongside existing Federal Revenue Protection policies. It allows diversified operations to elect higher coverage levels at more affordable rates by leveraging the risk diversification of multiple commodities.

This is what real advocacy looks like: working with partners across state lines to create new tools that help farmers manage risk and protect their livelihoods.

Meet Our Board

Volunteer Leadership Team

Our board consists of dedicated Colorado corn producers who volunteer their time every Friday morning and beyond to ensure our association represents the best interests of all Colorado corn growers.

These farmers bring decades of experience in corn production, agricultural business, and policy advocacy. Most every Friday morning, you'll find our board members on phone calls with lobbyists, politicians, and policy makers - because Washington never stops, and neither do we.

This persistent advocacy is why we've secured over $1.2 billion in assistance for Colorado agriculture since 2018. It's not luck - it's hard work by volunteers who understand that survival requires constant vigilance.

Meet our volunteer board members and learn about their commitment to Colorado corn growers.
